Medora: Pitchfork Fondue

We finally made it to Medora just in time to park, setup the popup and run up to the Pitchfork Fondue. It was a little spendy but way yummy!
"The nationally acclaimed Pitchfork Steak Fondue is a traveler's delight. Every evening our chefs load steaks onto pitchforks and fondue them western style. Savor your steak as you overlook the picturesque badlands from atop a bluff at the Tjaden Terrace. Your steak comes with all of the fixin's. Plus, you'll be serenaded with western melodies performed live by cast members of the Medora Musical. Menu: 12 oz Ribeye Steak fondued on a pitchfork, baked potatoes, baked beans, cole slaw, fresh fruits and vegetables, garlic toast, double chocolate brownies, lemonade, coffee, and water."
At the Pitchfork Fondue, you dish your food up on big metal trays so if you have kids and need help, they assign you someone to help hold the tray. Glory made a new friend, Liesel that helped her dish up her food and get to the table. After we got seated and were eating, Glory would see Liesel walk by and say, "There's my friend"! Way cute!
After we ate, we took a chance to walk around and check out the scenery. So beautiful! The kids wanted to climb all the scary high rock formations giving Mom & Dad slight heart attacks every time. It turned out we were quite the rock climbers!
Medora also has it's own herd of elk. We tried to get as close to them as we could by climbing down the steep hill but never got close enough to take a great picture. I think we finally counted like 13 of them. Pretty amazing! Here's a few of them we saw:

The Blue Angels

The Airsho came to Fargo this weekend so we decided to check it out. It's a bit spendy but we figured that since we've never been before, we should buck up and just go. We're so glad we did. They had so many amazing things up there to check out. Brett's always wanted to be a pilot (and we may still get him up in the air someday- they do do lessons here in Fargo, don't ya know) so he was like a kid in a candy store. The kids including Brett even got to buckle up in an Army helicopter. Pretty cool! We ran into our friends, the Mausolfs so we made a special stop to check out Duggy as well. All the kids got to go inside and Amelia [she's Duggy obsessed] even impressed Duggy's Oil Man enough to get up in the cockpit. Pretty awesome!

Besides all the planes to check out, they had fun activities and free gifts. Brett got to climb the Army Rock, the kids threw a football for prizes, got to do pullups and even got to hold some majorly cool weapons. AWESOME! Of course, we got Army bracelets and stickers! Also, it's always fun to meet up with friends. Even though it was by accident, we loved hanging out with Jen, Larry, Amelia and Grandpa. [We even got to see the Grays] We ate lunch, visited and watched the airshow. Some of the performers included:
•C21, Duggy, ‘FANG’ & Bill Stein Flyby
•Blackhawk
•F18 Super Hornet
•Bill Stein
•Strong Man Tractor Pull
•B-52 Flyby
•Strike Demo
•War Birds
•B-25
•Warbirds Recover
•Super Corsair
•F16 Demo & Heritage
•Fat Albert
•US NAVY Blue Angels Flight Demonstration Team
As a finale, the main attraction at the Airsho was the Blue Angels. Luckily they gave kids earplugs and Jen had a few extras (we were slackers about that). These things are so loud and FAST! They were amazing and flew so close to each other and to the ground. Scary but impressive!

Here's some of the US NAVY Blue Angels Flight Demonstration we saw. The 1st collage is what my camera took but the 2nd is what it actually looks like if I had that amazing camera I've always wanted. LOL! Enjoy!
What a great show! We're so glad we went!

Blog Book: Volume 4 Published

"We can hardly believe another half a year has come and gone.
Time flies when you're having fun, I guess!
It has been a LONG, LONG Winter & a rainy, wet Spring here in Fargo.
Thank goodness for our "Fargo Favorites on Friday"
or we wouldn't have that many nice things to say. LOL
It's amazing how keeping a record/journal/blog can keep things/life in perspective.
Attitude of graitude, right?!
We love looking back at all the fun things we do together.
And it amazes us! We are truly blessed with a wonderful life.
It's just like one ParTay after another! ;o)

Family Fun Night @ Elmwood

I LOVE the Summer in Fargo! They have the FUNest things for family! And better yet, they are usually FREE! Who can beat FREE?
Tonight, West Fargo Park District threw a Family Fun Night @ Elmwood Park. There wasn't tons of people there. It must have been a bit of a hidden or forgotten treasure. Yeah for us-- bummer for others. We had a blast!! Here was some of the fun:
Free Popsicles:
A fun, young couple from 104.7 Popster FM roamed around the park with a cooler full of Popsicles. The kids had as many as they wanted. What a sticky, yummy mess!
Free Balloon Creations & Face Painting:
There were 2 people free making balloon creations. These people were amazing!! They could make anything! By the end the kids had several awesome things including swords, teddy bears, puppies on bicycles, flower bracelets, owls, and all kinds of hats!
Also, there were a couple of girls doing face painting as well. The kids got peace signs, puppy faces, flowers and a Superman sign on their faces. Not to mention Bob 95 Tattoos and stickers! Wowie! These kids were spoiled rotten!
Dinner for a Buck$:
They sold dinner for $1. Can you believe that? We got a hot dog, a bag of chips and a choice of beverage ALL for a dollar. Score! Can't beat that in feeding a family of 6 OR... 10 if you count our adopted fam, the McPhersons. Thanks for meeting us guys for dinner and some fun!
Jungle Bounce House:
The kids had a total blast bouncing in the bounce house. The line was short enough that they only had to wait a turn or two and then they could go again. So much fun!!
Last but not least...
Bubbles & Hula Hoops:
The whole party was DJed by the Bubble Man. He had bubbles, bubbles, limbo, bubbles, hula hoops, and bubbles all put to music. The kids had so much fun! And I even tried my hand hips at the hula hoops. Well... at least I tried. Kinda embarrassing if I must say! Dylan is awesome at them! Maybe he'll give me lessons. LOL There was also a Mini-golf course that we never tried out. But it looked fun! Just ran out of time!
Yeah for a
FAMILY FUN NIGHT!!!

Family Visit: Movie & Popcorn

After a morning of swimming and presents and naps, we took everyone to Minnesota for Gnomeo & Juliet today. It was a cute show and we were the ONLY ones in the Theater. Too funny! We bought a large popcorn and drink and asked for some extra paper bags so we could fll them for the kids. Well, the lady gave us our larges AND filled bags for all the kids AND gave them all a drink as well. SPOILED! LOL
As if that wasn't enough popcorn, we decided to make KTuck's Chocolate Popcorn for our guests tonight. It is SOOOO YUMMMMMY! The little kids were right there to help me. What great helpers, we have! ;) Even though it was bedtime, we all had our share and even had some extra to send home with Grandpa. Unfortunately, I think I'm gonna be sick for a week! Too........... much.......... sugar! ;) LOL!

Wow! What a busy, fun weekend! Thanks to Shauna, Grandma Karla, Ryler and Grandpa Randy for coming to visit us! We had a fabulous time! Come back anytime. Luv ya!

Family Visit: Firepit

We thought it's be fun to get out the firepit and enjoy the Spring weather with the Fam. Yah, right! Last night, it rained so bad that we decided to forgo our plans and stay inside. Then today, temps dropped quite a bit and the winds BLEW like CRAZY! But we decided to brave it anyways. It was way fun but chilly and the ND breeze blew ashes from here to Timbucktoo. All of us smelled SOOO smokey after. And we smelt (is that a word?) it the rest of the weekend in a jacket or a pair of Levis or anything that had come in contact with us. Oh the memories associated with smells! Too funny! The Sh'mores were sure yummy and sticky though! Thanks Honey for picking up 4 different kinds of Marshmallows just to make sure I was happy! XOXO! ;) We had GIGANTIC ones, regular ones, strawberry ones, and S'more ones that are flat and square. What will they come up with next?

Family Visit: Lunch & Dinosaurs

When family comes to visit and school is in, Liberty & Justice love to have them come to lunch. Grandpa Randy, Shauna and Brett enjoyed an awesome school lunch sack! Lucky them! ;) Then they even got to stay and play at Recess. First, it was Justice & his friends vs. Shauna & Brett in a little football action! Then, at Liberty's recess, she want them to chase the boys with her! Oh no! Isn't she too young for that kinda stuff? LOL Anywho-The kids LOVED it!
Since B & Justice were having a fun lunch, Grandma Karla & I took the little ones to the Mall for an adventure of our own. After lunch, the rest of the gang joined us to play on the Dinos. Lots of fun! (except for when Mall security threw away Grandpa's drink. Oops! Sorry, Dad! LOL)

Happy Easter!

Here's a few pics of my darling kids hoping everyone had a glorious Easter!

And oh look!!!
A surprise visit from a stinkin' cute Easter Bunny!

Decorating Easter Eggs

How come the fun things that we love are SOOOO MESSY? LOL.
We had a lots of fun decorating our Easter eggs this year. We had tons crack this year while we were cooking them. Wimpy eggs! But we still got to do at least 5 a piece. If you do the math and add the cracked ones left in the pot, that is a LOT of eggs! Thank goodness we like boiled eggs and deviled eggs and egg salad sandwiches and..... what else can you make with these stinkin' things? LOL
As usual during our decorating party, many crackles were heard as eggs slipped off the holders or were dropped too hard into the colors. AND we had a very, very colorful table before we finished. Thank goodness for butcher paper! Unfortunately this time, we had a fatality. One of Justice's favorites rolled off the table and cracked pretty bad. He had worked really hard on it and was so sad. Well, his thoughtful sister B disappeared for a bit and came back with a orange plastic egg that looked just like the one he had just lost (plus a few 3-D touches added). She's a very sweet sister!
For the Seamons fam though, it's not just about making them look pretty. It's more like prepping for the Demo Derby where you decorate for the attack. (See Post about Egg Fight 2011) There were eggs like the Purple People Eater, the Space Star, the Decorator, the Poke Ball, Captain America, SuperEgg, and Smiley. We're soooo funny! But seriously, egg decorating is serious business around here, people!
