Whether Brett is near or far, he always finds a way to make special dates well.... SPECIAL! Even though he couldn't be here for our Anniversary, he set it up so that the kids helped us celebrate. Every 1/2 an hour or so, the kids came running in to give me "a gift". Each one counted towards our years together and represented something special we have together (or that I love!) He's such a thoughtful, romantic hubby! Here's our 1 to 15 Celebration....
1 Marriage Proposal over 15 years ago
2 Lives that were sealed together on August 6, 1996
3 Fingers are another way to say "I Love You"
4 Beautiful Children that joined our family through the years
5 Residences that we've called "HOME" (I hope I counted right: the condo, Kathie and Bud, the Starlight house, the apartment in Fargo and now this one)
6 Hearts make up our family (hearts made out of licorice- we always get it when we go to a movie)
7 Cars over the years (some better than others- the terd, the grey car from Bestemor, the totaled celebrity, the Suburban, the Blazer, the Explorer, the Suburban, the Caravan)
8 Candy bars to represent the sweet times we've enjoyed together
9 Words to show how my love for you has grown
10 Rolos ;) {I LOVE Rolos!!!}
11 Beautiful Roses still pale in comparison
12 Feet that go on our Family Walks (we go on a walk every Sunday as a family)
13 100 Grand Bars still don't describe your worth
14 Cookies remind me of one of our first dates (We made cookies together on our 1st alone date)
15 sticks of gum for the years we have "stuck" together (Along with a heart pendant necklace and a love note)

Then the kids took me out to dinner. (They were all excited that Dad had left them money to pay for it. Thanks, Brett (& kids) for being so thoughtful. You made my day! Happy Anniversary, Love! You are the most amazing man I know. I don't deserve you. XOXO!
