GNO: The Help

This was a busy week for our Fam but I managed to get away for a minute or two tonight. Yeah for GNO! We had so many ladies come out this time. So fun! We ended up with 18 ladies for dinner at Applebee's. The food was so yummy and the waitress was so fabulous to us. I love visiting and eating with these awesome Fargo ladies!
Then we headed to the movies. A few ladies had already seen it or needed to get home but we also had some other friends join us! Thanks Betsy (& her 2 friends), Robbie and Cortnee for meeting us! [This was Cortnee's 1st joining our crazy little group. Hopefully she comes back! LOL] We passed around tons of treats, we laughed, we cried, we laughed some more, and we cried some more. Then after we visited outside until we had to pee. What a great night!!
Delicious food, such a good movie, and awesome friends!
I love, love GNO!
Thanks ladies for getting out with me!

P.S. SAD Sidenote!--- KBro & I decided to take our dinners with us to the movie to finish them. We even got to-go-forks! LOL Then the movie was so good we never had time to take them out! Unfortunately, my camera was in there and in the process of swinging my bag, taking treats in & out and getting home- my Oriental Chicken Salad Dressing leaked. (Insert a humungous pouty lip here) It leaked right into and on my camera. Needless to say... my camera is DEAD! It won't turn on and the insides are filled with oily liquied. Luckily I saved the card and pulled the pictures off in the computer slot. But the camera is shot! I am so SAD! So until I get a new one.... pictures on the blog are gonna be slim! Dang!

Kids Rule!

Keep it cool with Marcus Theatres® this summer!
MARK YOUR CALENDARS: There are now THREE DAYS for you to enjoy your favorite family friendly films for just $2! Join us Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 10am from June 21st through August 11th and let us remind you why Kids RULE!
The West Acres Kid's Rule movie this week was Judy Moody and the NOT Bummer Summer. I took the kids and met the Larsens and Potters for some fun. It just happened that while I was in line, the man behind me asked me how many kids I had because he had extra tickets. He paid for our whole family! SCORE! Free movie! Totally make my day! YEAH! Oh... and the movie was great too! LOL

Everybody was KungFu Fighting

We took the family to Kung Fu Panda 2 today. I love to hear my family laugh! What a good show! "IIIII luuuuuuuvvvvvvv yooooooooou guyyyyyyyyyyys!!!! LOL

GNO: Jane Eyre, Part 2

A while back we had a GNO (in April to be precise) to go see the new Jane Eyre movie in the theater. It took us a bit but as promised we had our "Long Version of Jane Eyre" Party tonight. We watched the 2-disk (like 4 hours! Holy Cow!) Masterpiece Theatre Version tonight. Tons more info in this one, for sure! I actually really liked both versions. Both add a different dimension to the story. And so far Mr. Rochester has been dreamy in both- a jerk in both but a dreamy one nonetheless!
We had tons of yummy treats, lots of visiting, laughing, professional hand rubs, nail painting, and even crying. (Mr. Rochester can be so mean sometimes!;) Thanks to my Sunshine, Jen for hosting! You're awesome! I got guilted into (ok by my own conscience and not the girls) borrowing the book. Figure I better find out all the other info that they keep saying isn't in the movies. Wowzers- it's a BIG book though! In fact, I think everyone checked out a book or a movie from Jen's extensive (a huge understatement) video/book Library. We are all gonna be busy in the next few weeks. Then maybe we can watch another version! Yeah!

Family Visit: Movie & Popcorn

After a morning of swimming and presents and naps, we took everyone to Minnesota for Gnomeo & Juliet today. It was a cute show and we were the ONLY ones in the Theater. Too funny! We bought a large popcorn and drink and asked for some extra paper bags so we could fll them for the kids. Well, the lady gave us our larges AND filled bags for all the kids AND gave them all a drink as well. SPOILED! LOL
As if that wasn't enough popcorn, we decided to make KTuck's Chocolate Popcorn for our guests tonight. It is SOOOO YUMMMMMY! The little kids were right there to help me. What great helpers, we have! ;) Even though it was bedtime, we all had our share and even had some extra to send home with Grandpa. Unfortunately, I think I'm gonna be sick for a week! Too........... much.......... sugar! ;) LOL!

Wow! What a busy, fun weekend! Thanks to Shauna, Grandma Karla, Ryler and Grandpa Randy for coming to visit us! We had a fabulous time! Come back anytime. Luv ya!

GNO on Broadway

After our long TOFW weekend, Jen Mausolf was having Mormon-girlfriend withdrawals. All Winter, I kept telling her how much she missed us but.... some people just don't listen! Being the good friend that I am- LOL!- we planned a little intervention. OK, it was completely her idea but nonetheless she's totally getting a major fix tonight!
We tried a new place for our GNO dinner. It was totally convenient because it was on the same street as the Theater and YUMMMY! We went to Toscana on Broadway. http://www.toscanadowntown.com/ I tried the COQUILLE ST JACQUES- Shrimps, scallops and lobster cooked with mushrooms, asparagus, tomatoes and artichokes in a light lobster sauce. Così delizioso! I love going to dinner with the ladies! I always laugh at our choices of conversation pieces. We are always good for a laugh or two. Tonight,  I totally laughed when I told the waiter we wanted separate checks. His reply was- "I've been doing this a long time and you are all women. I figured as much!" Darn! We're so predicable sometimes.

After dinner and being abandoned by some of our wimpy friends (JK- but some were NOT in the MOOD for a Charlotte Bronte's classic tale of romance and woe. LOL To each is own, I guess), we took a short & wet walk down to the Fargo Theater. It has been raining all day!!!!!! Mother Nature obviously wanted us to be prepared for the novel's gloomy atmospheric tone. Well, it worked! ;) Can anyone say... enough puddles already?
Alright get ready for a Shocker!!!!- before the movie even started, we made it to our seats. Can you believe it? A first for us, I think! Several other lovely ladies joined us for our Broadway Movie at the Dowtown Fargo Theater (located on Broadway). It was fun to try a different theater. We chose to sit on the balcony and were serenaded by the organ. It was way fun! The organist played all different kinds of songs. When the movie started, the organ was lowered down into the stage. Pretty neat!
I, of course took pictures of all us lovely ladies. They always give me such a hard time- stinkers!!!! Julie's mom is in town so she joined in our fun. She must have been getting popcorn when I took pictures cuz she's not in the collage BUT she was there. Don't worry though- I took a picture of her at dessert! LOL
This was my 1st Jane Eyre experience. I heard there are like 18 film versions of the novel? Insane! But I did enjoyed this version. Of course, some may say that this version jumps all over the place and leaves out tons of information BUT when you are in a Jen Sandwich lack of info is NOT a problem. LOL! I had plenty of info on everything that was left out! It was funny because probably half of us have never read the book or seen the movie. I am told that the other film versions tell much more of the story so, we are planning a big "Long Version of Jane Eyre" Party in June. Shall be a joy, I'm sure! ;)
After the movie, a group of us decided to try out the newly remodeled Nichole's Fine Pastry Shop quickly before it closed for the night. We haven't been there forever! They have so many yummy dessert choices and tons more space than last time we went. Fancy Shmancy! I tried the hot chocolate and the Crème brûlée. Both were awesome! This was Brooke's first time at Nichole's. We laughed when she came out with a tray FULL of goodies. Turns out it was hers and Jen's but we had to tease her. LOL! Some of the other ladies tried amazing things like Lemon curd Tart, Fresh Fruit Tart, Waldorf Astoria Cake, Basic Cheesecake, and the gold topped Chocolate Feuilletine Tower- which I just had to take home for my Hubby! Thanks for letting me out for the night, Love! [He took all the kids swimming tonight. His is a brave man!]
I love GNO!!
Thanks Jen for needing a fix so we could get together!

Much Needed GNO

Despite the Suburban trying to thwort my plans for a successful GNO [it broke down on the side of the road in Casselton after piano lessons], my boyfriend came to my rescue. He drove all the way out to get Liberty & I and then even watched Julie's boys so she could come with me. (Thanks Love!)
Julie & I even amazingly made it to Olive Garden in time to order with the other ladies. It was a great size group which once again was in a rush. Poor waitresses! LOL!!! Cheryl O., Teri, Lisa M., Marie W., Bobbi & Katie, Julie M., Jill, KTuck and I enjoyed each other's company as we scarfed down our dinner. Oh the sacrifices we make to get out for a night! ;)
A tad bit late [oops!] but some of us ventured to the Century for Jennifer Aniston & Adam Sandler's new movie, Just Go With It. Let's just say.... LOVE Jennifer Aniston & Bailee Madison! AND That's all we're gonna say 'bout that! Save your money people and watch it on Netflix when it's free & with a big group of people to split the cost! Sorry ladies! Good to be with you though! We'll hopefully pick a winner next time. ;0) I did save my night however by watching Forever Young when I got home. Now that is a REALLY, REALLY, GREAT movie- So watch that one instead!
Despite the late start and the bad movie- it's always good to be with the ladies!- So thanks for joining me! It was a much needed GNO!

Life As We Know It

Life as we know it lately can be wrapped up into 4 small phrases....
1. Winter Blues due to severe, freezin' cold, snow storms
2. Ibuprofen & barf bags
3. A fun list of Synonyms --confined, enclosed, limited, restricted, housebound, shut-in
 AND
4. Stir-Crazzzzy! (definition: Slang anxious, tense, etc. from long, close confinement, as in prison.)
Sounds like quite a few ParTay crashers to me!

Well, it looks like the worst is FINALLY over but
Needless to say....MAJOR INTERVENTION NEEDED for this Momma!!!!!!
What better medicine than a GNO with some awesome friends?
Tonight, I got to get out for a bit for a little DQ and a good Chick Flick. Just what I needed! Thanks Brett for letting me out & getting the kids out to play as well. You're awesome!

Trying to get as far away from my prison as possible- Haylie, D, KTuck, KBro, Ellen and I met in a different State for dinner. Technically it's only 15 minutes away but at least I can say I left ND. ;) [Important GNO NOTE to Amber: No Olive Garden! Can you believe it? Are you proud of us for branching out of our normality?] Good food... but some IF-y conversation. LOL! Prego conversation is always fun for those who are 18 or husband-less at the moment. Sorry to D & Ellen- We still luv you even if you choose to never come back! LOL

Then Bobbi & McKenzie came and we joined Holly Berenson (Katherine Heigl) and Eric Messer (Josh Duhamel- hot!) for a good laugh at what being a parent is really about! Good laughs, that's for sure! But once again... not the best show for those 18, husband-less, kid-less or pregnant for the 1st time. LOL! Dang!- We really aren't trying to drive friends away or scare people to death. Sorry ladies! But for me... it was FUNNNNNNNY!
Basically it's all about-
But it was also about....
What a great night, awesome friends
and a good reminder of the Seamons' motto:
"If you can laugh at it... You can live with it"
Well, here's (clinkclink) to finding a few things
to laugh about with family! LOL!
Good luck! Toodles!

A Movie & some wool socks

For a fun little outing in the middle of a Fargo Blizzard, we decided to go to the movies. We saw Disney's Tangled. So darling! A keeper! Everyone loved it!
Then we made a stop to Scheel's for some warm wool socks. We really need them if we're gonna be ice skaters. (FREEZIN' feet are not fun!) While we were there, we decided to take a ride on the Ferris Wheel. The last time we were there- it was New Years 2010. Crazy, how time flies. Justice opted out but Glory just barely reached the height limit for the first time. She was ecstatic and way braver than her Mom. Don't rock the boat, baby! Lots of fun AND warm socks! Score!
We're just grateful we got home safe! Gotta love a Fargo Blizzard!

GNO- Girl's Night Out

I got out tonight for a GNO. I just love the ladies here! Heidi, Deanne Stevenson (she just moved here to work at NDSU), Jen M., KTuck and I went to Olive garden for dinner. I know, I know.. we ALWAYS go there! LOL! But it's a crowd pleaser and close to all the theaters. So... bring on the soup and salad! Besides- it really is "Soup Weather" out here these days. YUMMMY! Thanks ladies. Hopefully, our Winter Blues conversation didn't scare you too badly! LOL! We'll all be laughing about it together in May, I promise. Oops! I slacked in my photographerical duties so just let your mouth water instead: ;)
Next, we met Teri Z and Cheryl Oster at West Acres for the 8:20 showing of RED! I realize I've seen it before but it really IS that good! And besides, I really LUV Jen! ;) Thanks ladies for the good laughs and fun times. Luv ya! (Teri- just Follow the Spirit!- I'm sure your Training will be fabulous as always! Besides, I think you get bonus points for hanging out with the Stake women! LOL)
GNO rocks!!!!
