Utah Vacation: Lagoon

Brett's been telling the kids about Lagoon for a while now. We decided to only take the older two because it is a little pricey, my friend! Several cousins came with to make the day perfect. Brett, Justice and Liberty  took Anna & Skyler up with them. When Zach was done coaching soccer, Jake and him drove up separate. Then, Dixon, Chand and Ethan came down to meet them as well. They had a lot of fun and were very brave. They rode the Colassus Fire dragon, Wicked, the Sky ride, etc. They had to be back for a little Seamons Party that night so I know they crammed tons into the time they had. It'll be fun when we can take the whole family. Although, it's just not the same when you're old- I think your stomach whimps out or something! (Glad you made it through, Honey! LOL) Good times!

Growing up in my family, we went to stake Lagoon Day every year. We were usually in their Stake or just went when the Sadler family would go. It was always a tradition to got to Pioneer Village and get a Wild West Photo for Uncle Bud. Such fun times! All these years later, Uncle Bud actually has an entire wall or two in his home covered in the framed pictures. It's quite a Memorial! Bud knew we were going to Lagoon so he asked Brett to get a picture for him. Well, they didn't let him down. So funny! I love the picture! It's awesome!
Nowadays, with all the digital technology, Lagoon even gives you a CD with the all the shots they took. (and the copyright as well) A little Picasa magic and it's as good as the real thing! What characters!
Happy Lagoon Day!

Utah Vacation: Partay @ the Davis'

The Davis Family is AWESOME!!! We ended up invading their home for 6 nights- 2 more than they had even expected. They were way more than generous. Thanks guys! We sure luv ya!
We had so much fun with them! Like I said, the kids ended up being inseparable. Victoria & Halle are soul mates= Dora-loving, swimsuit-wearing, talented artist, girly girls. Too cute! And Brett & I love visiting with Cheri & Dixon. We laugh the whole time. Cheri fed us like we were Royalty- seriously- this woman can cook and clean ;) like no other. Just get her sink full of suds ready and she's set. LOL! Love ya, lady! We laughed, played and kept them up till all hours of the night EVERY night. Hopefully, they got some sleep when we left. LOL! Here's some of the fun we had with the Davis family:
The little girls wanted to swim in Halle's pool everyday.
The Davis' have a program that came with their computer. It's so totally hilarious! Everyone had a blast except for Liberty. She wasn't a fan. (Sorry sweetie!) But the faces were pretty funny! We laughed so hard!
They even spoiled us with an Outdoor Movie Extravaganza! Aunt Shauna joined us for the fun. After a fabulous dinner of delicious Teriyaki bowls and a elite-restaurant-worthy Red Velvet Cake, we made our way outside. They set up a big screen and the projector for a movie under the stars. The little girls had a movie night of their own all snuggled in Dixon & Cheri's bed- an Island Barbie Princess paradise. Outside, there was Eragon, popscicles, popcorn, fire & sm'ores- what more could you ask for? Cheri & I never made it outside. By the time we cleaned up the kitchen- (did I mention her sudsy sink?)- & putting the little ones to bed, the rest of the fam were coming in. What can I say?- us ladies can chit-chat, for sure. ;) Thanks for the fun memories! We had a blast!
There was tons more fun to be had at the Davis Hotel. We could have stayed there forever.
And of course, I mentioned the food, right? Cafe Cheri- AMAZING!!! She is fabulous. We had fresh fruit smoothies every morning- like "pick raspberries and strawberries from the garden" kind. Treats galore- good enough to look fake AND delicious meals. It was heaven! I wasn't sure that my family would actually come home with me. LOL!
On our last day with them we went to see little Miss Halle perform in the South Weber Fair. (We missed her in the Parade because mornings are NOT our thing) But we did get to see her dance. She was so darling! Awesome job, Missy! You looked beautiful! We all enjoyed a snowcone when her performance was through. There had to be like 50 flavors to choose from. Crazy & yummy!
That night, the Dads took the kids to the Fireworks. They had lots of fun! Cheri & I were supposed to go shopping and clean out my vacation-mess van. I do think Cheri made a trip to the store fast but then we spent the rest of the night talking instead. Oops! Oh well- who needs a clean car, right?
We had so much fun with the Davis family. Thanks guys! You are such an awesome family. Thanks for letting us be a part of it for a few days. Luv ya! (Even if you don't read my blog;)

Utah Vacation: Lunch @ the Park

After our crazy night, a tiny bit of sleep (Sorry Dixon) & an awesome breakfast (Cheri completely spoiled us), our family and the Davis' met up with part of the Sadler fam and my Mom & Ryler at a park for lunch. I saw the park on Shelley's blog a while back and she was kind enough to share it with us. We had a lot of fun! The water part was amazing! The kids including the biggest kid (and ONLY adult on the entire play area... love ya, Honey) had so much fun! I wish we had one in Fargo.
We did get around to eating lunch and playing on the Playground. It was a blast and perfect weather! Thanks, Shelley!- We had a fabulous time at your park! ;)
We even got to stop by Desert Book on the way back to Cheri's to see Treston who had to work today. It was like taking the kids to the Library. They LOVED it and it was great to see Treston! We actually bought a few things for Justice's baptism because this is the last time we'll be in Utah before her turns eight. Crazy, huh!? [Thanks Treston!] And also picked us up a new CD. We absolutely love the acapella group, Inside Out! We have their CDs called Primary Colors & Reverence but found their new one, Sharing Time. We just had to have it! Our new favorite song is the Snowman Song II. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_J9aZhtNF4w&NR=1  So funny! I think throughout our vaction, we listened to it at least 200 times! (Not even an exaggeration at all! LOL! We can basically all sing every word. Even Glory. Oh man-Good times! ;)
